We have a new dog here at Eden Weimaraners and he isn’t gray! Dexter was found by me and my friend Lani. He was on a very busy street, just trotting along peeing on things. He was filthy and horribly matted and not neutered. Of course we had to take him in. He had no collar and no microchip. We tried to find an owner with no luck. Whoever had him, it was obvious they did not care about him to have let him get in such bad shape.
After a bit of research, it was determined that Dexter is a Lhaso Apso. I had Dexter neutered and listed on the Lhaso rescue site with the intention of finding him an awesome home. He quickly fit into our house and he and Olivia are the best friends ever. They play for hours. Even Stella and Nina like the little guy. Dexter is always happy and makes us laugh daily. After a month or so, I couldn’t stand the thought of him not being with us. SO, he is now a permanent resident.
Dexter LOVES everyone! He will happily take off after anyone he sees on our walks and I have had to work on his recall skills.
I hope to get Dexter’s ILP number and do agility and maybe even Obedience with him. `
It is funny how some things come into our lives. I don’t think I had ever said the words “Lhasa Apso” before Dexter and never in a million years would have thought I would fall so in love with one.
The second photo shows the day we found Dexter.
He was so matted, when he was shaved, he had sores on his body.
